Il semble que la plateforme poss\u00e9dait autrefois trois dolmens, qui sont encore plus ou moins visibles, dans les soubassements du mur du donjon, de la chapelle et des remparts. Les Romains y ont ensuite c\u00e9l\u00e9br\u00e9 une d\u00e9esse de la f\u00e9condit\u00e9.<br class=\"autobr\"><br \/>Pour la partie ch\u00e2teau, le donjon restaur\u00e9 pourrait dater du XIIe si\u00e8cle. Des expositions y sont r\u00e9guli\u00e8rement propos\u00e9es par Les Amis de Notre Dame d\u2019Ay. Les deux autres b\u00e2timents semblent dater du XIVe et du XVIe.
